Lex AI: Your Decision Copilot

What is Lex AI?

Lex is the AI assistant built into Smart Load Solution. You'll find it as a chat icon inside the app. The difference from a generic chatbot: Lex doesn't improvise generic answers β€” it uses your real data: your calculated CPM, your historical average RPM, your target margin, your registered loads by state, and even the weather at your destination.

That means when you ask "should I take this load?", you don't get a generic industry opinion. You get an answer calculated against your cost structure and your history.

What to ask it

1. About the load on your screen

If you already entered the data in the Calculator, you don't need to repeat it to Lex. Just ask:

  • "should I take it?"
  • "what do you think of this load?"
  • "analyze it"

Lex already knows the route, miles, rate, and RPM you have on the panel β€” it answers about that load automatically.

2. Pasting raw load board text

Copy the text exactly as it appears on the load board or in the broker's message (with price, miles, and cities) and paste it into the chat. Lex parses it and can fill the Calculator for you β€” no manual transcribing.

3. About a state or lane

  • "how has Ohio worked out for me?"
  • "is Chicago worth it for me?"

It answers using data from your past loads in that zone, not generic industry averages.

4. About your finances this month

  • "how am I doing this month?"
  • "compare me to last month"

5. To save operational experience

You can tell it something like:

  • "save a note for Ohio: brokers pay late, negotiate before accepting"

That note gets attached to that state, and Lex will automatically bring it up next time you analyze a load heading there.

How to read its answers

When Lex analyzes a load, it ends its answer with one of four verdicts:

AcceptRPM at or above your acceptance threshold
Almost acceptClose to your threshold β€” worth negotiating a bit more
Evaluate carefullyAbove your cost but with a thin margin
RejectRPM below your real CPM β€” you'd be losing money

Before giving you the verdict, Lex shows the numbers it used (RPM, cost, profit) so you can verify the calculation yourself β€” it's not a black box.

Tip

If the load is heading into snow, ice, or a thunderstorm, Lex will flag it directly in its answer β€” it factors destination weather into the analysis.

3 real cases

Case 1: "Lex, should I take this load?"

Situation: You have a Detroit β†’ Nashville load loaded in the Calculator: $900, 550 miles.

You: "should I take it?"

Lex: "RPM: $1.59/mi. Your real CPM is $1.10/mi, so your profit is $296 (33% margin). That's above your acceptance threshold of $1.35/mi. ACCEPT."

Case 2: load pasted from the board

Situation: The broker texts you: "Nashville, TN to Laredo, TX – $1,400 – 1240 miles".

You: paste that exact text into Lex's chat.

Lex: detects route, rate, and miles, fills the Calculator automatically, and gives you the analysis: "RPM: $1.13/mi. With your CPM of $1.10/mi the margin is only 7% ($98 profit). EVALUATE CAREFULLY β€” I'd suggest countering at $1,550."

Case 3: decision with saved notes

Situation: Weeks ago you saved: "save a note for Ohio: brokers pay late, negotiate before accepting". Now you're offered a load heading to Ohio.

You: "what do you think of this load to Ohio?"

Lex: analyzes the RPM as usual, but also reminds you: "Note: in your past experience in Ohio, brokers have paid late β€” negotiate payment terms before accepting."

Limits to keep in mind

  • Lex has a daily message limit β€” use it for decisions that actually need it, not for purposeless chat.
  • Its financial answers depend on you having loads and expenses logged in the app β€” if you don't enter data, it has nothing real to pull your context from.
  • Lex helps you decide faster, it doesn't replace your judgment. The final call is always yours.
